The game will be played at Oregon State at 2:30 p.m. ET and will be shown on the Pac-12 Network.
Should Oregon State reach the Pac-12 championship game or Nicholls State reach the NCAA FCS playoffs, the game will be canceled and the contract will be null and void.
The teams were set to meet on Sept. 1 in Corvallis, Ore., but the game was postponed because Nicholls State was unable to travel because of Hurricane Isaac.
Oregon State is coming off a 10-7 win over No. 13 Wisconsin last week. The Beavers are on bye and travel to Los Angeles next week to face No. 22 UCLA. Nicholls State dropped a 9-3 contest to South Alabama last week.
Tickets for the opener will be honored at the rescheduled game.
