GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida coach Will Muschamp has suspended offensive lineman Jessamen Dunker from all team activities in the wake of Dunker's arrest earlier this week for allegedly stealing a scooter.

"I met face-to-face with him this morning for the first time for about 15 minutes," Muschamp said Friday afternoon. "Once we get a little more information, we'll move forward, but he's suspended from the team at this time.

"We'll address that further when I know more."

Dunker was arrested shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday near the south end zone of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on UF's campus. According to University of Florida Police Department spokesman Brad Barber, a police officer performed a traffic stop after he noticed Dunker riding a scooter very closely behind a university maintenance vehicle.

The scooter did not have a license plate. After running a check on the scooter, the officer was notified that it was stolen. Dunker was arrested and booked into the Alachua County Jail shortly after noon and charged with third-degree grand theft of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.

Dunker was released on his own recognizance Thursday. Dunker's attorney, Huntley Johnson, claimed that Dunker purchased the scooter for $600 and did not know it was stolen.

The 6-foot-4, 301-pound Dunker will be a redshirt freshman in the fall.

Three other players are done at Florida. Muschamp parted ways with junior defensive end Kendric Johnson and junior receiver Stephen Alli. Both are scheduled to graduate this spring and will no longer be on scholarship. And offensive lineman Tommy Jordan is applying for medical exemption because of a shoulder injury.

"We appreciate those guys' contributions," Muschamp said.
