BC AD supports winless coaches

Boston College's Athletic Director Brad Bates said in a letter to school supporters he has "total confidence" in his football and men's basketball coaches, who combined to win zero conference games this season. He wrote, "I have absolutely no doubt they will succeed.''

How bad is it for Boston College sports?

With a 66-50 loss to Clemson, the Eagles complete a winless ACC regular season in football and men's basketball. That hasn't happened in a major conference in the same school year since 1943-44, when Georgia played just two SEC basketball games.
