Freeze asked how he and his staff wouldn't dot every i or cross every t with the scrutiny he should have expected with the high profile recruits he signed: "Could we have done better -- obviously we could. We will learn from where we made mistakes." Added that no head coach has the ability to monitor every part of his program -- inside and out.

Alex Scarborough ESPN Staff Writer

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze said that it doesn't get any better than Chad Kelly's second half of last season, closing with 4,000-plus passing yards. Tight end Evan Engram said, "I felt like if we were in the SEC championship, he'd be in New York," as a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Edward Aschoff ESPN Staff Writer

Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly said that if he had to pick a go-to receiver at this point it would be Damore'ea Stringfellow. Said he "could be the next Laquon (Treadwell), if not better."
