This is a strong year for quarterbacks on the recruiting trail, and the names are coming off the board quickly headed into the spring evaluation period.

Jalan McClendon is making the most of his chance to grab hold of NC State's starting QB job this spring. "I'm very pleased," Wolfpack coach Dave Doeren said of McClendon's spring work. "He's invested a lot in being good." McClendon has looked sharp in NC State's new offensive scheme even without key weapons like Jaylen Samuels, Matt Dayes and Jumichael Ramos, who've been held out with injuries.
