Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher reiterates Sean Maguire is his starting quarterback. He said after the NC State game Maguire earned the job after relieving Everett Golson and leading a comeback win. The Seminoles finish with FCS Chattanooga on Saturday and then rival Florida.

Despite another 100-yard performance that eclipsed Florida State's single-season rushing standard from Dalvin Cook, it was the running back's toughness both Jimbo Fisher and NC State's Dave Doeren gushed about after the game. Fisher called Cook, who left a fourth game this season with an ankle injury Saturday only to return, "beyond tough." Doeren said "what impressed me most was how tough he was."
Clemson and North Carolina have established themselves as the clear-cut top two teams in the ACC power rankings as they continue to surge forward.
