Heels trending down after signing day

After an 11-win season, you'd think North Carolina would have hauled in a great 2016 recruiting class. How did the Tar Heels only end up with ESPN's No. 32 class? Five teams reeling after NSD (Insider)

North Carolina inked the No. 34-ranked recruiting class in the 2016 cycle with one ESPN 300 (Tomon Fox) and four more four-stars. Better keep an eye on the ACC during October from start to finish. Clemson at Florida State on Oct. 29 headlines the league slate, but the month begins with Coastal champ North Carolina visiting FSU and Clemson hosting up-and-comer Louisville. The hype for that Oct. 29 game will be muted if either trips up four weeks earlier.

Watch out Deshaun Watson, Mitch Trubisky is here to play. The UNC quarterback put up stellar numbers in 2015, but ESPN's David Hale believes Trubisky will be the most statistically prolific QB in the ACC this fall as the Tar Heels' new starter. Rising stars (Insider)
