"We just ran out of gas." - Tulsa HC Phillip Montgomery. The Golden Hurricane scored 14 unanswered points but failed to tie the score or take the lead on their final drive in the 55-52 loss to Virginia Tech in the Independence Bowl. Tulsa outscored Virginia Tech, 15-3, in the final quarter.
