Can the Mountaineers make history?
Appalachian State is making a bowl appearance in its first season of FBS bowl-eligibility after going 10-2 this season. Of the 27 teams to join the FBS since 1978, Marshall is the only other team to win 10 games in its first official FBS season (10-3 in 1997) and the Mountaineers are looking to become the first such team with 11 wins.
The Camellia Bowl is part of the opening day of bowl play on Saturday, and it's an attractive matchup featuring two high-powered offenses.
