Carl Nassib named Burlsworth Trophy finalist

The award is given to the most outstanding college football player to begin his career as a walk-on. The Penn State defensive end leads the nation in sacks (15.5) in his first season as a starter.

Penn State stands at 7-4, but it has yet to beat a ranked team or a winning Power 5 team. At times, the Nittany Lions have also appeared to take a step back.
