Narduzzi on what he learned in his 1st year

Pitt's Pat Narduzzi on the inspiration the team has drawn from James Conner’s fight against cancer, what he learned in his first year at Pitt & the chance to play Penn State.

Andrea Adelson ESPN Staff Writer

Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi expects James Conner to be full go when fall practice opens Aug. 8. Conner, a cancer survivor, will be fitted with a GPS device to monitor his practice pace and movements to give the staff a better idea about how he is doing during each practice. "We have to slow him down," Narduzzi said. "He won't slow himself down. We just have to monitor him a little bit, make sure we don't wear him out. We have to be smart. You let him go out there for a two-a-day, but you don't have him out there every snap."
