Big 12 asks Baylor for docs from assault probes

The Big 12 has asked Baylor to hand over "all documents" related to the university's sexual assault investigations as officials are "gravely and deeply concerned" about reports.

The Big 12 board of directors issues release on Baylor, requests "all documents" associated with the investigations into how the school handled allegations of sexual assault. The Big 12 is also asking for all information the law firm Pepper Hamilton conveyed orally to Baylor in its review of the school, as well as "unedited" information the firm provided.

Oklahoma president David Boren told reporters Tuesday after OU's regents meetings that the Big 12 will be issuing a statement on Baylor. According to the Tulsa World, Boren said the league's presidents recently discussed the Baylor scandal on a teleconference. A spokesperson from Boren's office said a Big 12 statement on Baylor could be released "in the coming days."
