Miami defensive coordinator Manny Diaz said he wants veteran cornerback Corn Elder and defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad to step up as leaders in the offseason. "It's easy to do when everyone's buying in and that's what we have," Muhammad said (Pictured right).

Miami coach Mark Richt said he was pleased with the way QB Brad Kaaya played in the spring game but realizes his team needs to improve its depth headed into fall practice. He noted the team looked gassed toward the end of the game for that reason. In particular, Miami is short players at receiver and offensive line.
