Titans third-round safety Kevin Byard says the ball skills that helped him collect 19 picks started as high school QB and WR. Plans to be immediate impact guy on special teams and fight for a starting job. Knows they just signed veteran Rashad Johnson as free safety, too. Doesn't have a favorite player. "I'm my favorite NFL player now."

Safety Kevin Byard gets to work with Titans safeties coach Steve Jackson. He's a great teacher. Technique, technique, technique. And he preaches toughness. Great spot for a rookie. That's how you develop.

Byard could buck free safety trend in NFL

Kevin Byard had a nice interception against Alabama and later showed off his speed by taking down running back Kenyan Drake. His production and athleticism make him a viable free safety candidate in the NFL. Most underrated NFL draft prospects (Insider)

Bahamas Bowl coming down to the wire

Western Michigan just broke a 31-31 tie with a short TD run to take a seven-point lead over Middle Tennessee in the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl. Just over six minutes remain. Live on ESPN, WatchESPN

Western Michigan's Jamauri Bogan has provided a huge spark for the Broncos in the Popeye's Bahamas Bowl. He has nine carries for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Bogan has touchdown runs of 62 yards and 46 yards, both on short yardage plays which saw him break past the line of scrimmage and outrace Middle Tennessee's defense to the end zone.

It's seemed like two different games during the first half at the Popeye's Bahamas Bowl. Middle Tennessee State and Western Michigan combined for 34 points and 475 yards in the first quarter. In the second quarter the two teams combined for zero points and 147 total yards. With the score tied at 17 at halftime, it should be interesting to see if the offensive fireworks return in the second half.

After both teams scored 17 points in the first quarter, the second quarter of the Bahamas Bowl was scoreless, thanks in large part to turnovers like this fumble.
