Eagles coach Doug Pederson and staff are well-equipped to develop a young QB. I know some Philly fans were upset with the trade. They won't be in a few years.
Bio Blast: Carson Wentz
The Eagles used the second overall pick on Carson Wentz, who led North Dakota State to two FCS national championships. Wentz went 20-3 as a starter for the Bison.

Jared Goff is more pro-ready right now, but I think Carson Wentz can be as good or better. Wentz has exceptional mental makeup. He's big and mobile. Yes, he only started 23 games at the FCS level, but don't be fooled by low-hanging fruit.

Matt Bowen ESPN Staff Writer
With Wentz to the Eagles, think upside and development. Wentz has all the tools you want at the position given his size, arm strength and athletic ability on tape. In Philadelphia, Wentz gets that time to work through the learning curve. And he could be a star in the future.

Goff-Wentz choice not an easy one
With the No. 1 overall pick in next week's draft, the Rams can't go wrong with either Jared Goff or Carson Wentz. Both produced far more TDs than interceptions, although Wentz missed eight games in 2015 due to a broken wrist.
Chris Klieman is 28-3 with the Bison the last two seasons, leading the school to its fourth and fifth straight NCAA championships.
Jared Goff, the likely No. 1 NFL draft pick, wrapped up his visit Thursday with the Rams, capping a week in which he and Carson Wentz met with coaches and dined with team officials.
The Rams are leaning toward making Cal QB Jared Goff the top overall selection in this year's draft but will meet with him and NDSU's Carson Wentz before deciding, a source told ESPN.
