Houston's first team offense and first team defense faced off once in the first half: in a two-minute drill just before halftime. Defense won out, stalling the Cougars' offense before midfield. Defense has been the better of the two sides today, particularly the defensive line which has generated consistent pressure on the quarterbacks.

Greg Ward Jr. and Isaiah Johnson hooked up for two touchdown passes of 48 and 51 yards. Through 10 series that's all the scoring that has been had in the spring game. Houston's defense overall playing well today in the given setup (first team offense vs. second team defense and vice versa).
