Some political context to consider as Texas leadership offers its support for Houston's Big 12 bid: UT System Chancellor William McRaven has been pursuing expansion into Houston with ambitious and controversial plans for a research center. The UT System is planning to spend $450 million over 30 years for the research center's 300 acres of land. UH regents are not happy with that plan, fearing it's an invasion of their territory. Charlie Strong dropped no hints about his Texas quarterback decision...or did he?
