Gary Pinkel happy with emotional win

A day after announcing he'd be stepping down after the season, Gary Pinkel led Missouri to a 20-16 win over BYU, saying after the game: "I love Mizzou."

Mizzou gets the emotional win

After a tumultuous week, the Missouri Tigers emerge victorious over the BYU Cougars 20-16. Both Tanner Magnum and Drew Lock finished with 244 yards through the air, while Russell Hansbrough led all rushers with 117 yards. Box score

Mangum helping BYU make comeback

Tanner Mangum finds Francis Bernard for a 6-yard TD to bring the Cougars within one score. BYU would miss the extra point, and trails 20-16 midway through the fourth.


Upon further review...

Mizzou is up 20-6 with two scores early in the fourth quarter. Tyler Hunt plunged in from 1-yard out, but the referees took a good look at it before awarding the Tigers the points.


Paydirt for Algernon, BYU leads

Algernon Brown had a wide open lane on the draw play, helping BYU take a 10-6 lead over Missouri in the third quarter on SEC Network.


Anything you can do they can do better

After a fumble put an end to an 11-play drive for the Cougars, the Tigers gave it right back to them with this Drew Lock interception on the ensuing drive.

Missouri leads BYU 6-3 at the half but the Tigers will be kicking themselves for not making more of their red zone trips. Mizzou has 234 yards and has already run 49 plays. Mizzou has 14 first downs to BYU's 6 and the Tigers are 6-12 on third down. Mizzou is 2-3 in the red zone with just two field goals. BYU has just 156 yards

Low-scoring game in Kansas City

No, it's not a baseball game there just haven't been any touchdowns between BYU and Missouri. The Tigers lead 6-3 at halftime and QB Drew Lock has 128 yards passing. He's complimented by Russell Hansbrough's 63 yards on the ground. Box score
