Southern WR Gales hospitalized with spinal injury

Southern wide receiver Devon Gales was taken off the field on a stretcher after suffering a spinal injury late in the third quarter of Saturday's game against Georgia in Sanford Stadium.

ESPN's Laura Rutledge reports that the entire Southern team showed up at the hospital to visit WR Devon Gales who sustained a spinal injury today. Assistant AD Trayvean Scott says that Gales is moving his hands, he's had a CT scan and is in good spirits. They are awaiting the results of the CT scan.
