Trojans never fall off the horse

Louisiana-Lafayette put up a fight, but in the end, it was Troy's night to shine. The Trojans pulled away in the third quarter and coasted to a 41-17 win. Brandon Silvers was lights out, going 22-28 through the air with four TDs and 320 yards. Teddy Ruben benefited the most with 131 yards receiving and two scores. Box score


Trojans taking control back

Louisiana-Lafayette threatened, but Troy answered the call by opening up its lead and making it a three-score game with this fumble return for a TD late in the third quarter. The lead is 41-17 for Troy at the start of the fourth quarter.


The plot thickens in Lafayette

The Ragin' Cajuns aren't dead yet. A fourth down TD makes it a one-score game as the Trojans lead 24-17. Elijah McGuire's 7-yard score is his second of the day.

Silvers bells ringing for Troy

At the half, Troy leads Louisiana-Lafayette 24-10. It's been the Brandon Silvers show so far as the Trojans QB has been lighting up the statsheet. He's 14-19 with 205 yards and three touchdowns through the air.


Cajuns crack board

There's life in Louisiana-Lafayette after all. This 18-yard Elijah McGuire score cuts into Troy's lead and makes the game 24-7 early in the second quarter.


Silvers shines again

Fourth down is not the time for field goals, according to Troy. Instead of taking the three points, the Trojans gamble and it pays off. Brandon Silvers connects with Teddy Ruben on this 15-yard score and Troy leads 14-0.


Lafayette loses the ball

The holidays are about giving, right? In this case, the Ragin' Cajuns would have rather had returner Gary Haynes not be in such a giving mood. This muffed punt set Troy up in incredible field positioning.


Burks outworks opponents on TD play

A 23-yard TD by Brandon Burks opens scoring. Troy takes a 7-0 lead over Louisiana-Lafayette thanks to the WR's tightrope acrobatics.

Panthers hang on to beat Trojans

Georgia State picked up its fifth win of the season with a 31-21 win over Troy. Panthers QB Nick Arbuckle threw for 368 yards and two touchdowns on Friday. Game summary

Trojans RB Brandon Burks takes the direct-snap and runs it in for a 1-yard TD. Georgia State still leads 31-14 entering the fourth quarter.


Georgia State extends its lead

Panthers QB Nick Arbuckle finds Robert Davis on the other end of the pass for a 46-yard TD. Troy trails 24-7 in the third quarter.


Panthers extend lead before half

Georgia State kicker Wil Lutz puts through a 30-yard field goal just before the half to give his team a 17-7 at the break.


Panthers retake the lead

Georgia State's Glenn Smith takes the handoff up the middle and outruns the Troy defense for a 39-yard TD. The Panthers are back on top 14-7 in the second quarter.


Trojans tie it up on big play

Troy QB Brandon Silvers finds Teddy Ruben open in the middle of the field on a slant route. The senior wideout breaks a tackle and out runs the Georgia State defenders for a 58-yard TD to tie the score at 7-7 in the second quarter.


Georgia State on the board first

Panthers QB Nick Arbuckle finds Penny Hart open on the sideline. The freshman WR breaks the would-be-tackler and dives in for a 12-yard TD. Troy trails 7-0 in the first quarter.
