Northern Illinois' 22-game November win streak is arguably college football's most underappreciated feat. It underscores the consistency through coaching changes -- from Kill to Doeren to Carey. Boomer Mays and the Huskies defense was huge down the stretch against a talented Western Michigan offense anchored by receivers Corey Davis and Daniel Braverman. A missed opportunity tonight for P.J. Fleck's team, which controlled play much of the game but made too many errors. WMU has improved but needs to show it can get over the hump against teams like Northern Illinois.
Northern Illinois re-takes lead with TD
Joel Bouagnon scampered up the middle for a 12-yard run to give Northern Illinois a 20-19 lead against Western Michigan. They didn't convert the 2-point conversion.
