No surprise, defenses are setting the tone in the St. Petersburg Bowl. A couple field goals for Marshall have made the difference at halftime, and freshman QB Chase Litton is doing an impressive job handling the pressure from UConn.

Marshall seeks fifth straight bowl win
The Thundering Herd are tied for the longest active FBS streak with four straight bowl wins entering the St. Petersburg Bowl (11 a.m. ET on ESPN). They are also going for a third consecutive 10-win season. UConn, on the other hand, is in a bowl game for the first time since the 2010 Fiesta Bowl. The Huskies are playing for their first winning season since that same year.
