Hawaii introduces Rolovich as new head coach

Former Hawaii quarterback Nick Rolovich will take over his alma mater and said Monday he plans to focus on the bonds his players develop with one another, not on any specific offense or defense.

Hawaii hires Rolovich as head coach

Nevada offensive coordinator Nick Rolovich was named as Hawaii's new head coach, replacing Norm Chow, who was fired after going 10-36 in four seasons. Rolovich played QB for Hawaii in 2000-1 and was an assistant there from 2008-11 before joining Nevada in 2012.

Tulsa co-defensive coordinator Brian Norwood and Nevada offensive coordinator Nick Rolovich are also in the mix as Hawaii narrows its candidate pool. Both Rolovich and Norwood played at Hawaii, and Rolovich was an assistant there from 2008-11.

UNLV pulls away from Hawaii, 41-21
