Jones, the No. 2 safety in the ESPN 300, chooses the Longhorns over Arkansas, Baylor and Texas A&M. Texas allowed opponents to complete 45.1 percent of their passes of 15+ yards downfield last year, worst in the Big 12.

Bret Bielema flew nearly 20,000 miles

The Arkansas head coach has flown 19,714 miles since Nov. 29 for mostly recruiting purposes. That's about 3,000 miles shy of the distance it would take to fly around the world, according to a school release. More from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
