Former Texas WR Ryan Newsome announced today that he's transferring to Arizona State. The former ESPN 300 recruit will be reuniting with assistant Jay Norvell, who recruited Newsome to Texas a year ago. The speedy receiver/returner will have three seasons of eligibility with the Sun Devils starting in 2017.

The winner of Arizona State's looming three-way quarterback competition between sophomore Manny Wilkins and redshirt freshmen Bryce Perkins and Brady White won't be announced until just before the regular season begins, ASU coach Todd Graham said. Possibly not until the Friday before the first game. "Our players will clearly know who that player is going to be long before the announcement," Graham said.
