6-foot-6 small forward Dyshawn Pierre (Whitby, Ont./Anderson Collegiate Vocational) committed to Dayton on Monday. ESPN's Dave Telep confirmed the news. Pierre chose the Flyers over interest from Duquesne, Missouri, New Mexico, New Mexico State and Portland, among others.
The Dayton Daily News reported on Monday that head coach Archie Miller landed a commitment from point guard Khari Price (Slidell, La./Salmen H.S.). The 6-foot lead guard picked the Flyers over South Florida, Western Kentucky, Troy and TCU.
Point guard Jevon Thomas (Quality Education Academy) will not suit up for Dayton next season, instead the Queens, N.Y. native will spend a fifth year at a prep school, the New York Post reported on Monday.
According to multiple sources, power forward Devon Scott (Columbus, Ohio/Northland H.S.) ended his recruitment again on Wednesday with a pledge to Dayton. Scott originally committed to Cincinnati over the summer before opening things up in September.
