Week:

On Saturday, Blackman won its first Tennessee state title. On Tuesday, the Lady Blaze find themselves in position to win their first national title.

Blackman moves into the No. 1 spot in the espnW 25 Power rankings after winning the Tennessee AAA championship with a 65-44 win over Ridgeway. Sophomore Crystal Dangerfield, who was named tournament MVP, and junior Alex Johnson each scored 19 points in the final. MeMe Jackson, a junior Tennessee recruit, added 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

The top spot was up for grabs after Windward knocked off previous No. 1. Mater Dei in the California Southern Section Open Division final on Friday night. Windward, which hasn't lost since December, moves into the No. 2 spot ahead of No. 3 Incarnate Word Academy, No. 4 Duncanville and No. 5 Mater Dei.

There's still room for plenty of movement in the weeks ahead, though, as California, Missouri, Colorado, North Carolina, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are still going strong.
