espnW 25 Power Rankings: Week 16

Incarnate Word Academy, which spent three weeks in the No. 1 spot earlier this season, moves back up to No. 2 in the espnW 25 Power Rankings for Week 16 after winning its sixth Missouri state championship on Saturday.

Napheesa Collier led the way with 33 points as IWA (31-1) claimed its second straight state title with a 60-43 victory over Dexter. Incarnate Word, which has gone 62-1 the past two years, suffered its lone loss of the season to No. 1 Blackman in January. IWA had defeated Blackman earlier that month.

The California shuffle continues in Week 16 as the state championships continue to unfold. Previous No. 2 Windward (Calif.) lost a one-point heartbreaker to No. 19 Etiwanda, which in turn fell to No. 4 Long Beach Poly, which had previously knocked off No. 5 Mater Dei. That leaves us with a CIF state final showdown between Long Beach Poly and No. 17 Salesian.

Elsewhere, No. 14 Shabazz won its second straight Tournament of Champions title in New Jersey with a 69-55 victory over Manasquan. Shabazz's only loss this season was to No. 17 Salesian.

And finally, No. 23 Cosby (Va.) enters the rankings for the first time after winning the Virginia 6A title behind Georgetown signee Dorothy Adomako.
