Georgia 1, Fresno State 1 (3rd inning)

OMAHA, Neb. -- Fresno State tied the score at 1-1 when Jordan Ribera clubbed a leadoff homer to start the third inning. It was Ribera's fifth homer of the season and second of the CWS.

While pitching to the next batter, Georgia starting pitcher Trevor Holder escaped serious injury when Danny Muno bounced a hot grounder off Holder's right shin. Holder had the presence to throw Muno out and returned to action after a delay of seven minutes.

Stephen Dodson quickly began work in the bullpen, but Holder got Gavin Hedstrom on a groundout and Erik Wetzel struck out to keep the score tied.
