Georgia 5, Fresno State 0 (3rd inning)

OMAHA, Neb. -- Georgia added another run in the third inning, chasing Fresno State starter Justin Miller en route to an early 5-0 lead.

The Bulldogs took advantage of Miller's wildness. Bryce Massanari led off with a four-pitch walk and advanced on Matt Cerione's walk. After that next two hitters were retired, David Thoms added an RBI single to account for Georgia's fifth run.

Fresno State coach Mike Batesole pulled Miller after Thoms' hit, replacing him with right-handed reliever Holden Sprague. The pitching change immediately paid dividends as Sprague struck out Ryan Peisel for the inning's final out.
