Dawgs starting a comeback?
OMAHA, Neb. -- Georgia climbed back into the game by scoring four runs in the top of the seventh inning to battle back to within 15-10.
The first four batters of the inning reached Fresno State reliever Holden Sprague, leading to the insertion of reliever Jake Hower into the game.
Adam Fuller and David Thoms provided run-scoring singles to start the big inning. Another run scored when Fresno State first baseman Alan Ahmady misplaced Matt Olson's easy grounder, unsuccessfully attempting a force play at second while disdaining a sure out at first base.
Rich Poythress' deep sacrifice fly scored the final run before Hower escaped further damage.
