Arkansas' Cox hits first homer, Titans cut lead

June, 13, 2009
Arkansas' Zack Cox gave us the first home run of the 2009 College World Series -- a huge hit way into the right-field bleachers -- to extend the Razorbacks' lead to 4-0 in the top of the third.

Cox flipped his bat after hitting the two-run homer, something that would normally prompt a talking-to from coach Dave Van Horn. But Van Horn just congratulated Cox as he trotted back to the dugout.

The Titans responded in the bottom of the inning, starting with Joey Siddons scoring off Gary Brown's sacrifice fly. That run was immediately followed by another when the Razorbacks' first baseman, Andy Wilkins, made an error off a Josh Fellhauer hit, bringing home Christian Colon to cut Arkansas' lead to 4-2.
