OMAHA, Neb. -- TCU staged a magical comeback against Florida State earlier in the week. The same sort of effort might be required for the Horned Frogs to make the College World Series championship series.

Listless on Friday, UCLA's offense came out firing early on Saturday with a five-run first inning. The Bruins have nine hits in four innings and have put baserunners on every frame. They're leading 6-2 as the game heads into the fifth.

Starter Trevor Bauer has allowed only three hits and an earned run while striking out six. Bauer's pitch count is at 80, so he's probably got about two or three more innings in him. Getting him out of the game might be TCU's best chance.

After the disastrous beginning in which Kyle Winkler and Paul Gerrish surrendered six runs while getting just seven outs, Trent Appleby has settled things down for TCU. He's working on three scoreless innings and has given his team a chance to stay within striking distance.
