UCF hires Todd Stansbury as AD
ORLANDO, Fla. -- The University of Central Florida has a new athletic director, hiring Todd Stansbury to fill the position that opened two months ago when Keith Tribble resigned amid allegations of NCAA violations.
Stansbury has been the executive associate athletic director at Oregon State since 2003. He was athletic director at East Tennessee from 2000 to 2003 and was associate director of athletics at Houston from 1997 to 2000.
UCF made the announcement Tuesday, adding that Stansbury tentatively is scheduled to take over March 1.
Tribble resigned in November after the NCAA cited UCF for unethical conduct amid allegations of recruiting violations in the school's football and basketball programs.
