Danny White named Buffalo AD
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Danny White is the new athletic director of the University at Buffalo.
White, a former basketball player at Notre Dame, will leave his post as senior associate athletics director at the University of Mississippi. Since 2009, White also has served as executive director of Mississippi's alumni association.
White, 32, will be the youngest athletic director in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
"Danny has an impressive and very well-rounded athletic portfolio. He clearly knows the world of intercollegiate athletics from nearly every vantage point," school president Satish Tripathi said. "What's more, he has a keen recognition of UB's great potential, and what it will take to realize this promise as we continue our institutional pursuit of excellence."
White's father, Kevin, is the athletic director at Duke.
