Greg Christopher will be named Xavier's new athletic director, a source told ESPN.
Christopher, who has been Bowling Green's athletic director the past seven years, replaces former Xavier AD Mike Bobinski, who left in January to become Georgia Tech's athletic director.
Bobinski was in his 12th year as athletic director at Xavier, where he also served as associate vice president. A seven-member committee at Georgia Tech led the three-month, nationwide search. Bobinski is just the eighth athletic director in Georgia Tech history.
According to the NCAA's most recent Division I graduation success rates, Xavier ranks 11th in the nation at 97 percent.
Information from ESPN.com's Heather Dinich was used in this report.
