SALINE, Mich. -- Michigan running back Fitzgerald Toussaint was sentenced to up to 10 months' probation on Tuesday, stemming from his July arrest for operating a vehicle while visibly impaired in Ann Arbor, Mich.

"I just want to say it was a poor decision," Toussaint told the 14A-4 District Court on Tuesday. "It was an educational experience."

In addition to the 10 months of probation, Toussaint is required to attend 10 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings within the next 120 days, complete a breaking the cycle program, refrain from using alcohol or drugs and submit to three random drug and alcohol tests within the next 90 days.

Toussaint also has to pay nearly $1,500 in fines and fees, partially because the arrest was part of a joint task force.

Toussaint was suspended for the season opener against Alabama because of his arrest and has rushed for 283 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Michigan defensive end Frank Clark, who was scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday for a second-degree felony home invasion charge, had his case adjourned to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, according to his attorney, Douglas Lewis.

Clark admitted in September to stealing a laptop from a Stockwell Hall dormitory in June. After being suspended for the season opener, he started three games, making 11 tackles and breaking up three passes.
