Slappy: What are your goals for this season?

Taylor Dent: I don't really like to set goals. But I would love to be in the top 100 somewhere by the end of the year.

Smash-mouth: What do you say to critics who feel the women's side of the game is more exciting then the men's side?

Taylor Dent: Different strokes for different folks. some people like to watch the girls run around cause they are cute and still can play tennis. And then some like the power of the men's game (delicate answer).

NORI, ANCHORAGE: Hey good job at Wimbledon. I wanted to ask How nervous do you get in each Match

Taylor Dent: I don't get too nervous.

Roy from Georgia: Hi Taylor...What do you think of the other guys coming up especially Mardy Fish??

Taylor Dent: I think Mardy fish is a nice guy. He's very arrogant though. Just kidding. He's a good tennis player. He'll be very good.

Jackson: Taylor - what a great match between you adn Lleyton at Wimbledon. How much does a match like that take out of you? Were you exhausted after the match?

Taylor Dent: I've been working a lot on my fitness. So I was OK the next day but it was very mentally draining to lose that match.

alison: do yu have a girlfriend?

Taylor Dent: Yes. She's 20. She also plays on the WTA.

Bruno (Hartford): did u always serve this hard?

Taylor Dent: Not always, but I've always had a big serve for my age.

Tim from Phoenix: whats her name?

Taylor Dent: Jennifer Hopkins.

James from Ohio: I hear you have a big serve. How much do you concentrate on doubles in your career, especially with Mardy Fish?

Taylor Dent: Doubles is very good for my singles, so it's high on my list.

Roy from Alabama: Hi Taylor, Congrats on the fastest serve ever at Wimbledon. Do you think you will ever be able to break the record?

Taylor Dent: I think eventually I'll have a good chance to break it. I'm not saying whether I will or not, but my chances are good.

Ricky:: Who was your tennis idol growing up?

Taylor Dent: Boris Becker.

Shawn, Salt Lake: How important is the Davis Cup to you?

Taylor Dent: Davis Cup is very important to me. I've always wanted to play like my father did for his country.

Mark from Atlanta: How did the people treat you in wimbledon?

Taylor Dent: They treated me great. It was one of the best experiences of my tennis career so far.

Q: I remember in the juniors you had the same concentration problems that you displayed against Hewitt. What are you doing to remedy them?

Taylor Dent: Just work on it from match to match. That's all I can do. Some players have to work on forehands and backhands but my obstacle is the mental side.

Hardy from Harrisburg: Who would you most like to beat?

Taylor Dent: I would like most to beat Mardy Fish because I think he's so cocky.

Ricardo from Brazil: Are you playing any tournaments in south america at all this year?

Taylor Dent: I don't think so. My summer is in the States. I can't think of the rest of my schedule, but I think I don't make it down to South America.

Rafael, Arizona: How do you turn pro? do you just decide to turn pro or is there more to it?

Taylor Dent: You simply go to a professional tournament. You play and mark the box that says pro.

Phillippoussis from AUS.: Hey buddy! Good match against my boy Hewitt! Just saying hi..you have a lot of talent..and dont hurt your knee like me mate!

Taylor Dent: Mardy leave me alone!

Cody St.louis: Can you beat Venis williams

Taylor Dent: That's a disputed subject. But a player ranked 200 and was in his mid-30s beat her and Serena 6-1, 6-0. No comment past that.

Q from NJ: I think Mardy is arrogant too. Never liked him much in the juniors

Taylor Dent: Yeah, Q.

Tim: Honestly..I know you have a girlfriend..but what do you think of Anna Kournikova? =)

Taylor Dent: I think she's very attractive and great for the women's game. I don't know her.

Agassi Fan: Taylor, You think you are ever going to win Grand Slam title with the depth of the men's game now?

Taylor Dent: It's every players dream and I think I have all the tools to win. So I just need a little time and luck

Taylor Dent: They've just called me to play doubles here in Newport. Thanks for chatting with me.
