OK, he really doesn’t want to be an NBA player, owner or appear in underwear commercials.
But Newton did make a cameo appearance in Gatorade’s new promotion that brings back the classic “Be Like Mike" jingle from 23 years ago that’s probably still ringing in the heads of many.
Here’s a look at video, which was posted by ESPN’s Darren Rovell.

Newton’s appearance in the video is brief. He’s shown in his pads and jersey singing, “if I could be like Mike" from the practice field. It’s karaoke quality at best for the first pick of the 2011 draft.
That Newton is in the video is appropriate. He and Jordan both represent Gatorade and are neighbors in an uptown Charlotte condominium.
Newton appears briefly in a remake of the iconic "Be Like Mike" ad.
