Victorino, out since May, activated by Red Sox

In a series of roster moves on Friday, the Red Sox activated Shane Victorino, placed Blake Swihart on the disabled list and optioned Jackie Bradley Jr. to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Red Sox activate Shane Victorino from DL

The OF hadn't played in the majors since May 24 because of a calf strain, but he's activated for the weekend series vs. Houston. Boston also placed catcher Blake Swihart on the DL with a sprained toe.
