The Cowboys have returned to the basketball court for their last pick taking Baylor power forward turned tight end Rico Gathers. The Cowboys held a private workout for Gathers. They have had success in the past drafting basketball players with Hall of Famer Rayfield Wright and Cornell Green. They drafted Pat Riley in 1967.

With a pick acquired in a trade last year with Oakland for Brice Butler, the Cowboys have selected Purdue cornerback Anthony Brown at No. 189. Brown had four intreceptions in 2015 and is considered a tough tackler as well. He will bring some depth to the position.
