Earlier this year, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported on the University of Cincinnati's diligent campaign to join the Big 12, in the event the league voted to expand. ESPN.com has gained access to a series of documents showing that lobbying has continued. On Feb. 3, Cincinnati president Santa Ono sent a letter to Texas Tech interim president John Opperman highlighting a conversation the two had about Cincinnati's Big 12 candidacy. Enclosed with the letter was a brochure touting Cincinnati with the title "Onward."

Tough series for the Rangers in Toronto. First they suffer back-to-back walk-off losses and tonight the Jays hammered Derek Holland with no mercy, putting up 11 runs on him in 2.2 innings. It's the seventh time in Rangers history a starter has allowed at least 11 runs. Edwin Encarnacion has six RBIs.

Domino effect on Texas' bullpen?

The Rangers main problem this season is that there aren't enough reliable arms in the bullpen -- with their relievers ranking last in the AL. But, Brandon Land writes, the bullpen is struggling as a domino effect of the offense failing to provide enough run support. One Strike Away
