Skyline pounded Sunset, 56-0, to secure sole possession of the 9-5A championship and the top seed in Division I.
Meanwhile, South Garland used a late field goal from Angel Maldonado to squeak by Naaman Forest, 29-28, to secure at least a share of second place in 10-5A and the top seed in Division II from the district. The winner of Friday's game between Sachse and Rowlett grabs the last 10-5A playoff berth with North Garland also already in the postseason.
