The Texas Rangers will name Clint Hurdle their new hitting coach, a source told ESPN 103.3 FM's Galloway and Company on Tuesday.
John Blake, Rangers executive vice president of communications, said late Tuesday afternoon that the club has not made any offers for the hitting coach position and is still doing its due diligence on the situation.
