The Dallas Stars had a 2-1 lead with a minute left in the third period and lost on Wednesday. Things got strange in overtime as Nicklas Grossman was called for delay of game. But it appeared he was not in his own zone when he threw the puck out of the rink. Strange. Click here for a replay of Wednesday's in-game chat.

  • Stars got plenty of shots and a bunch a good scoring chances, and it took until five minutes were gone in the third period to score. And what a goal it was as James Neal went high and got it through a very small hole to score.
  • Stars' power play was 0-for-4 in the first period. They had some good shots, but Calgary goalie Curits McElhinney was on his game.
  • Mike Modano certainly helped the power play and was all over the ice otherwise. Jere Lehtinen, who also returned, did the job on the penalty kill and was on a line with Brenden Morrow and Mike Ribeiro.
  • I like Karlis Skrastins. He's solid, makes very few mistakes and blocks a bunch of shots. He's not afraid to use his size and he makes the little plays, like getting a puck out of the zone on the other side of the ice on a third-period penalty kill. And he had two assists on Wednesday. You could make a case that he was the No. 1 star.
  • Stars penalty kill did the job against the No. 2 power play in the NHL. The Stars made it difficult on the Flames to set up in the offensive zone and got out of the way so Marty Turco could see the puck. At least until the Flames got a rare power play in overtime.
  • What did you think about the call in overtime? Should that have been a delay of game on Grossman?
