Adrian Beltre out with quad strain

Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has a Grade 1 left quadriceps strain but will not be placed on the disabled list at this time.

The Rangers have some roster flexibility, so they'll let Beltre rest and have the medical staff take a look at his quad over the next few days before determining early next week whether he can play or needs to go on the DL.

Kevin Kouzmanoff will play in Beltre's absence. Kouzmanoff was added to the roster prior to Wednesday's game in Boston. ...
