Disaster looms if Prince can't recover

Anything less than vintage Fielder terrible for Rangers ... and heads will roll

Prince Fielder won't return to the baseball field this season, yet another victim of this cursed Texas Rangers season that's headed nowhere.

Fielder's season ends with three home runs, 16 RBIs, a .247 batting average and no impact.

Fielder, who turned 30 earlier this month, is scheduled to have Dallas-based surgeon Dr. Drew Dossett perform a cervical fusion on his neck Tuesday.
