Crawford hopes Auld can get on a roll

DALLAS -- If the Dallas Stars are going to make a playoff push in the final 34 games, backup goaltender Alex Auld, and not longtime starter Marty Turco, might be manning the pipes.

Stars coach Marc Crawford said he's prepared to give Auld an opportunity to get on a roll after Auld earned the Stars a 3-2 shootout victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday at American Airlines Center.
