Colonial impressed with Duval's play

David Duval was extended an exemption to the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial on Tuesday.

Tournament director Peter Ripa said he and his staff were watching last week's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and were impressed with Duval's play. He finished tied for second, waiting on a putting green to see if he'd be in a playoff before Dustin Johnson birdied the final hole to win.
