Rangers get Guzman from Nats

The Texas Rangers continued to shore up their roster, trading for Washington Nationals middle infielder Cristian Guzman.

"It's not an official trade until the paperwork goes through. In 24 hours, it'll be official," Washington general manager Mike Rizzo said Friday, before the Nationals hosted the Philadelphia Phillies.

ESPN.com's Buster Olney reports the Nationals are sending a little more than $2 million to Texas to help pay for the remainder of Guzman's $8 million salary.
